In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, Joliet Thunder will delay the start of the 2020 practice schedule until April 8th. As an independent team we have the ability to adapt our schedule. However the health of our players, volunteers and community come first and that will be the most important factor as we all live through this. We will continue to monitor the developments and will announce additional information about the 2020 season at a later date. We will work to resume play as soon as it is safe to do so. The health and safety of our fans, players and staff is our top priority, and our thoughts are with those around the world who have been affected by this outbreak.
April 6th, 2020:
During this crisis we have had to make some tough choices at every level. As a nation, as a community, as well as a family. The Thunder family has decided to postpone the start of our season program of practices and games until it is safe to do so. As an independent team we have the flexibility to schedule our games for any time that is available. Therefore we will restart after the shelter in place order and ban on large gatherings has been lifted. Our thoughts are with you and your families, please stay safe.
